OP is a goofus. I'm 38, and really of the culture. I grew up on rap/hip-hop (married to this shyt)...beats, lyrics, content, etc.

It's not somethin you turn off, the day you hit 35 or 40.

Even if lyricism or wordplay, is at in all-time low (and there's STILL nkkas wit wordplay), production-wise, and SONICALLY, I'd argue hip-hop/rap is at an ALL-TIME high. You're love for the culture/genre wasn't authentic in the place, if you woke up one day, and only wanted to listen to jazz.
