I do think we should reframe the presentation of our critiques from "why won't Black men stop blah blah blah" and say... "look !!!!! we have high hopes for your ass because we have seen the greatness in you throughout history. We seen the empires of Mali, Ghana, Egypt, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Nigeria etc... We've seen the inventions created during slavery. We know the richest man to ever grace the planet was a Black king named Mansa Musa.. That's why we are not willing to settle because in Black women's cell DNA whether conscious or subconscious, we know that Black men are not supposed to be in this condition and regardless of circumstances, we do think Black men are strong enough, smart enough to navigate and manifest their destiny. Now alot of Black men have forgotten this and have turned into a !!!!! droid robot who is self destructive and self hating (some Black women are !!!!! droids as well).
I've been doing a lot of research on the dynamics between African men and women before slavery and colonialism and I have to get something off my chest that I noticed when reading African literature. Some of this is revelation from ancestors.....
Black men are like gentle giants and have a hard time thinking in a Machiavellian /Sun Tzu manner. (please google it wil take to long to explain). Since it is hard for them to compartmentalize their mind in this manner, they're are getting clobbered in a system of white sumpremacy. Of course you have Black men who Machiavellian minds but its rare. Jay z comes to mind. You actually have a better chance of finding calculating Black women that think this way before Black men. Now Black men not having Machiavellian minds is not inherently a bad thing, however if you have another group of men (throughout history it has been white men) who easily think this way and despise your guts now you have a problem. Basically you're playing checkers and others are playing chess. Black men spirits are easily broken in this racist country do to the aforementioned.
The second thing I noticed when studying the historical dynamics between Black men, Black women is that Black women are the spiritual advisors to Black men's conciousness due to their intuitive, creative, and calculating thinking. Nowadays its backwards and you have alot of Black male pastors trying to tell Black women what they need to do to be spiritual. Look at the state of the Black church. or any patriarchal religion that relegates women to second class citizenship (Islam in Iran comes to mind)
Third. Black men are providers and protectors but need constant support of Black women to feel incentives to nation build. This may be hard to understand and by support I dont mean monetarily, or support at the expense of our dreams. I'm talking about constantly telling them that they are worthy of building, smart, creative etc... they use this as nourishment to keep going and to build us houses, bring us food, take care of things, protect the community. There is an underestimation of how vital the role Black women play in the success of Black men. I'm talking about the very essense of Black women actually sustains and give incentive to nation build. I know this may sound crazy but these sentiments exist in old african literature, poetry , and african religion. They feel a sense of lost if they dont have our support. I'm not saying we should treat Black men like babies but our historical dynamics that worked and built civilization were due to Black men being spiritually sustained by Black women and Black women feeling safe to roam the world because Black men would protect them at all cost. Basically Black men provide a thriving socio-economic state for us that allow us to manifest our dreams easier I say easier because we will manifest our dreams if they dont provide but there is alot of stress created by not working together. Sorry for the long post this shyt has been weighing heavily on my chest.
