Or more to the point, these cats spend like they'll be making the money they're making during their career for the rest of their life.

They're simply not saving for a "rainy" day or for retirement or for an inevitable oust from the league. It's like some of these cats don't worry about blowing $15 mill in a year because they think they'll have that $15 mill per year contract forever, and not just the ten years they're in the league making it.

We all do it to some extent that's why I can't real care about Iverson or the next person when they are broke. Cats acting like most of the people here ain't doing it just on a smaller level that is the only funny part. AI crazy for spending all that dough but a lot of people would get caught up in the same shyt they just aren't talented enough to be in that postion cause I see it from regular people so getting more money isn't going to necessarily change your spending habits

People always act like athletes are the only people in this country dumb with their money. The backbone of this country is debt, pretty much, and the majority of this country is living check to check and living beyond their means.

I was with Iverson a few weeks back when he came to Philly....He came through a spot I was DJing at with his peoples. He doesn't take many pictures or even talk to many people at all unless you're cool with him or his crew. After that Sixers appearance he basically stayed in Philly for a about a week and came through a bunch of Night clubs. I know he got paid for at least one of those appearances (so there's definitely plenty of ways for him to earn money out here, he'll be fine) but yeah I just told dude how he influenced me a little nikka in the NBA, he definitely appreciated it. But yeah it sucks for his career to have ended this way.
