The problem with incels is that many of them want actual relationships, not mere sex and the idea of merely dating down ignores the fact that some of them are so poorly adjusted and entitled that even that won't work. Actually, I would imagine it to be the opposite. If anything, simping has created more incels. The bolded is why. The incel thinks that if he goes through the motions of "normal courtship rituals", he is guaranteed success. This is where their entitlement comes from.
