Not to clutter up the thread with a semantics argument, but depending on definitions, theists and atheists can't be equally wrong since they don't both make truth claims. A theist claims a god exists, and anyone that does not accept that claim by default is an atheist. Note, one doesn't necessarily have to say the claim is false, just not accept it as true.

I'm not pushing any religion, I'm basing my statement solely on his scenario where he discovers the one true God and confirms his existence but would still not worship that being. That to me says it's not about confusion or lack of evidence, it's about pride.

naw, they are gonna have to do a lot of explaining first before I'm humbling myself to them.


back to the OP though, I'm in the same boat, I consider myself agnostic. I'm not against believers at all ( I am against religion though). I let ppl believe and think what they want. I think all that extra shyt is nonsense though.


also, I'd kinda be pissed off if he showed up. I'd be more worried about getting another bill for all the money I owe the church

See here's the thing breh, I actually used to be religious but then I grew up. I was religious for about 2 years in my teens.

Tell me what does believing in god give you?
And tell me, if you stopped believing in god what would you lose?
Please answer me both above questions.

When I was religious I gained nothing, when I stopped I lost nothing.

If god does exist religious people are it's worst followers. The most greatest gift god gave us is our brain, it is the most complex gift we received from god, even more great than life itself because without a brain life is useless.
If god gave you a brain and you don't use it then you are misusing god's greatest gift.
If you don't question god and religion then fukk it!

If you're asking me does standing up saying

"I believe in G-d"

Change things? No.

If you say "I don't believe in G-d" nothing happens either

But because of the rules of the Universe I don't lie to my women. I don't cheat and I don't try to use them for money. The way I treat her and the fact that I'm true gives me an authority that these sneaking cowardly guys cannot possess.

She never questions anything I tell her. As long as I am always leading her towards the right thing, she eventually will do anything I ask without question

Same with peers, coworkers, neighbors
