This isn't a reaction to this one game but sort of a culmination of watching both guys most of this season. Durant really isn't even close to the same level of scorer that Melo is. Durant is a better pure shooter but in terms of creating off the dribble, post-up game, and getting to the hole, Melo is better.

Melo has a bigger body, puts more pressure on the defense, and doesn't get half his points from the free throw line. Its crazy how disrespectful the refs are to Melo and how much respect they give Durant. Melo gets murdered and never gets to the line, while just breathing on Durant gets him to the line.

My top 5:

1. LeBron
2. Kobe
3. Melo
4. Wade
5. Westbrook

Melo is also the only dude I can see actually being able to match-up with LeBron. Bron embarrasses Durant every time they play. But Melo actually plays LeBron straight up and even gets the better of him sometimes.

KD has a superteam constructed around him. Look at how good Harden is now on the Rockets. And even Jeff Green is ballin in Boston. He still has Westbrook who IMO is more valuable to the Thunder than Durant. And Ibaka protects the rim. Melo has never had a crew like Durant has had his entire career.

The real MVP of OKC is Sam Presti for putting together such an amazing team NOT Durant.

If OKC is back in the Finals it'll be because they have such a stacked team not because Durant is better than Melo. Harden is 4th in the league in scoring and he was coming off the bench for OKC. That is how stacked the team Durant plays on is.

Actually the only dude that can match-up with Lebron is on the Heat. that's D-wade.
