Yes, Kevin Durant is a better rebounder than Carmelo Anthony is. He averages more rebounds per game this season and averages more rebounds per game over his career than Melo does.

Melo is a better defender when he actually tries, problem is, that doesn't happen often. Thus Durant being a better defender. But even if you call it a wash, Durant does everything else better than Melo on a basketball court; and does so more efficiently on a lower usage rate.

Regular players who will take a volume of shots their FG% plummets after they take a decent amount of shots, because they have 2-3 go to moves that defense reads. So FG% shouldnt be looked at so much when a bulk of the scoring is done.
