Bottom line; you had a brotha who didn't know anything but football and family. I don't know his stats on the field, but his domestic dilemmas certainly got the best of him.

When you have that much testosterone in your blood and your team is a non-post season contender (i believe the cheifs were the worstest of the worst or near it), any type of ensuing drama or spousal altercations can spark/escalate to something tumtamble.

Mr. Belcher most likely had a damaged psyche from the strenuous training and hits to the cranium, given the type of lifestyle/career field he's in, one concussion after another; essentially the frequency of impact impairs the cerebrum from any kind type of practical and sound judgement.

He was a ticking timebomb waiting to go off.

I'm no psychologist or neurologizer, so pardon my amateuristic extrapolations on the matter, but it's hindsight.
