I don't even think it's fair to compare RTD and LAD anymore

Both are musical masterpieces and both serve their own purpose.

RTD is more gritty and grimy in production outside the One More Chance remix and Big Poppa single while LAD is more polished, still hard but just more refined. But that's part of what makes both of them so special is like there's 1 album that's got this more grainy and campy feel to it and then the other is glossy and clean for the most part. Another thing I like is how on RTD Biggie's loud approach on the mic fits the beats. The beats were loud just like his voice. Then on LAD the beats for the most part are more calmer in sound as is his voice.

I still sit back in awe of how both these albums stand the test of time as timeless pieces of music. :wow:

B.I.G. forever! :mjcry:

BIG made a Leap lyrically in between RTD and LAD. For that reason and and fact that LAD was such a broad spectrum sonically and theme wise I strongly believe it's his best work and arguably the GOAT album.

RTD was the perfect introduction but RTD big could have not pulled off long kiss, your nobody, notorious thugs, sky is the limit..

He needed to live more and develop his style more to make LAD and the fact that all of that was so evident in how he came off of the album makes it my fav
