I dont feel the culture changed as much from the 10s to 20s as much as other decades

I can say music/entertainment is due for a major shift soon. Almost 20 years of the same basic format for a lot of things.

The high hats and snares just killed off the versatility of black music. That strip club/trap/drill paradigm gotta get bushed

00s - Impacted by 9/11
10s - Impacted by the recession.
20s - Impacted by Covid.

I wonder what the 30s has planned. A significant flood. Data breach. Destruction of servers/Internet?
I predict internet blackout

It is a consideration of mine. Trend seems to be shake up to the things we take for granted.

There might be a knock on effect to working from home to. Doubt whatever projections they had considered the usage increase due to covid.

Might have to sit down and think about stocks to invest in.

The 2020s just started, but the 2010s were definitely distinct. 2011 and 2019 weren't the same.

Smartphones and social media exploded in 2011/2012. I was seeing the shift happen right before my eyes. Social and political awareness wasn't something you needed to have ten years ago. There was more optimism and blissful ignorance back then.

Look at what was on the charts back then. Compare the big pop hits from the early 2010s to now. Nobody is making music like that now. For a while, things became more downbeat and depressing. There's more of an emphasis on mental health and identifying yourself now. The middle of the decade brought shyt like increased police brutality cases, being caught on camera on a major scale. Kaepernick kneeling, Trump getting elected, the rise of the alt-right/new age white supremacy, #MeToo, celebrities getting exposed for their past. Look at all the entertainment options we have now thanks to streaming. Ten years ago, you think half these reboots would have been green lit? The 90s Are All That was crazy when it first came out, because the concept hadn't been done before and it brought back a lot of nostalgia. Now, it's played out to look back at the past. You're expected to do that.

The 2020s already introduced a huge shift in the culture (the pandemic). There will be one or two more shifts like that coming.
add the rise of anime as well
previously anime used to be created to solely act as a commercial for manga

Its too recent for us i think. 20s just started so we dont even know what the defining features will be.

And the 10s and 00s were vastly different so imo just give it time

Yep...2002 = throwback jerseys, tall T's...baggy everything

2012 = probably seeing a lot more skinny jeans and fitted gear

2022 = ??? We shall see.....
