When you ever heard a black person say some shyt like "I really don't like punk but Bad Brains are the shyt"
love him or hate him, eminem's heart overall is in the right place.
i think people hate what the mainstream has transformed his story into but they direct the hate at him instead of the critics and media.
people also hate him because of the racist tapes that came out. Still haven't heard the tapes cause by then i wasn't listening to Em that much so didn't care enough which brings me to my third point...
Em's music lately sucks. Production is blah and delivery is annoying. I feel like he sacrifices too much substance for form and rhymescheme. I think the best balance was around the Renegade/The Way I am/Mosh era. Today i dont really care about what he's rapping about though. Maybe it's just not for me and that's cool too. But it doesn't take anything away from his talent. I just think he needs a producer to direct his delivery and beats (but he might have become "too big" for his own good. Maybe no one dares to tell him his shyt is wack...)

What you fail to realize is that your handicapping your music experience by doing that.
I'm all for supporting fellow black people when they need it but doing that is extreme and severely limits your music experience.
