JPop is similar and sometimes massive groups of kids
The ones I was watching recently had kids from 14 to adults in their twenties. They’re literally the WOAT singers and basic dancers. The managers look for the catchy songs and are most groups are washed up after about 3 years
I remember I used to like a chick Maeda Atsuko and Minami Takahasi from AKB48 though

I don’t like it for that exact reason. Its not based on black music

Trust me, I’m not defending the music. I despise it because it’s very poppy. The pop music they listen to in their country is a lot different than what ends up being exported.

AKB48 has some talented singers.
The basic dancing in Asian groups I can't stand. I'll agree with y'all on that.

Yeah TBH AKB48 had some good singers who have now branched out to solo careers. I guess when they are 14 - 18 you can't really tell how well they sing.
If you have the channel, on NHK News they do a music show and these new bands often pop up. Crazy how much they profit off it
Oh yeah, these groups sporting 20 plus girls and then they have a G-league group if you mess up in the main one. The music dynamic is so fascinating.
All of the festivals that these groups attend to the money is out of this world. I think their salary is incentive based that they split amongst each other.
I watch the live news on YouTube and everything else on Billibilli.
