No different from the British Invasion bands stealing the Blues from AA's and selling it back to white americans.

You fukking delusional.

Negged.

Nope. You’re just upset. Negging won’t affect me :mjlol:

Like I said. MOST of K/JPop is light catchy pop music. I’m not saying there aren’t musical influences from many regions, but the MAJORITY of the groups and songs are classic pop shyt.

If you’ve not listened to more than 10 bands, I don’t think you have any space to talk.

If you’ve ever been to Asia, this is the type of J/Kpop they play (probably the biggest JPOP group):

This is a general mix. Again you see the varied style of music, but there is a clear male/female split to the type of music and dancing, but all with a pop feel to it :

There is a reason why we see the more westernised versions of groups: because it’s exported.

Korean pop has always been the worst of soulless distilled commercialized music to ever exist. It's the music of a pure capitalist hell. Where all creativity and soul is sucked out of an artform and replaced with financial decisions by big corporate conglomerates. Trends are followed heavily and then replicated endless until money runs dry. Imitation is rampant instead of individuals being unique and doing their own thing. The contracts these artists are signed are way more draconian than anything anyone in the west would sign or tolerate.

In short, it's shiet and explains why a lot of women love it. It also perfectly represents a lot of Asian countries where consumerism is folks number one goal in life after attaining wealth.

If there is asian music I do enjoy, it would be Japanese music. Plenty of artists that do true art and not music pumped out by some executive.

They seem to be more expressive creatively than Koreans.

What are you talking about, the whole style is based on RNB groups of the 90,s mixed with some poppy backstreet NYSNC pop shyt.
Actually listen and watch more than BTS. There’s a reason why they have a global reach, they’re making western music.

But again, the majority of this music, is pop music.

Y’all sounding like white people that say rap is just guns, drugs and misogyny

You specifically said RnB like a direct derivitive of the blues isn't "black music" or AAs didn't create RnB itself.

Not to mention half the shyt posted here draws directly from the sequencing used in hip hop over the last decade.
