We are required 3 monitors at work + laptop. Comparing/creating/editing legal documents. With shinedocuments they have to have exact spacing,everything must be fully open. Colors have to bebrgb consistent. Even for work at home set up they sent us home with 3 monitors they issued. All monitors are setup vertically.

I run one monitor with my pistons playing and the other with a low intensity game like civ etc

I run two tvs for this same reason…Ol lady can sit next to me and watch tv too…

not even a gamer or anything, but i find myself often using my main monitor for my desktop and having my laptop open on the side looking at something else. i mean i could just use one monitor, but convenience.

Genre not what it used to be but RTS and 4x games can have a lot of downtime so it's nice to be able to browse web while playing. MMOs too.

One monitor is for the game they're playing
One monitor is to see chat
One monitor is for something else entirely (probably what's keeping the stream up)
