He was part of one of the GOAT hip hop duos in Atlanta and is part of the history but am tired of pretentious heads putting him above Nas Jay G Rap Rakim Redman etc when his output has been low and has not been able to produce real albums after the 2000s

Like it used to be good and got worse.
It actually a lot better than it’s ever been. And the Grammys is the only award show that is not owned by a for-profit corporation.
I’m just happy that Andre is not in the rap category but in instrumental music and alternative Jazzz.

My only problem with the Grammys is that everyone gets to vote on everything and it’s equally waited. That would be like soccer journalist getting to vote in the MLB and NFL mvp, and MLB journalists getting to vote in the cricket mvp etc. And rap people are so oblivious to the fact that they can vote. Like Joe Budden always cries, but never votes, doesn’t even know that he can vote.

They switched up the rules so voters are capped on which genre categories they can vote for and the rap field has been wayyyyyy better at getting actual industry peers to vote in the category. Its not perfect but its been better since the 2014 debacle when Macklemore robbed Kendrick.
