Actually I know that hating nikka Nore started it on Drink Champs and is another example of ridiculous NYC bias. No offense to X but I can’t listen to them wack ass dame grease and swizz casio beats with a nikka barking over them. That does not compare to albums like matw and 7 day theory which are some of the greatest albums of any genre not just hip hop.

Delusional NYC fans have always put some rappers on a pedestal. Dmx, jada for starters.

I always trip out when they do quicktime with slime and they ask dmx or pac. How are they even being compared lol. X is not in the same stratosphere as Pac.

X was a good MC, one classic album mixed with a bunch of mediocre 3 mic albums. He doesn’t belong in any conversation

DMX is one of the few NY rappers that get love in every region.... X is way more beloved than Hov down South, Midwest etc.

DMX is equal at best if not slightly below Pac to me
They both had the lyrics that touched people because they were honest in their music about their flaws and vulnerable.

I can actually understand the comparisons. DMX had the drug demon and pac had the wanting to fit in and be accepted demon and both their demons killed them

Them second and third albums sold and had major singles but let's not pretend they were good albums.
Oh yeah I don't really care for anything beyond IDaHiH but it was a hell of a commercial run, he absolutely dominated the scene. Not many rappers have done it like he did it
