No cursing made will the rap star he was. He could sell his music everywhere without controversy and parents would buy it for their kids.

Fair, but I'd argue that was inauthentic to him. He didn't have to be DMX on the mic, but plenty of rappers have crossed over being mildly vulgar just like he's mildly vulgar in film and he was the biggest movie star in the world for almost 15 years.

I dunno, 9 times out of 10, I just will choose authenticity over a paycheck.
