For me it has to be well written. I can't stand ANYTHING poorly written. I don't like the Chronic as much as other people cause the lyrics are bland. It irritates my ears.

All these are lyrically dense songs. It has nothing to do with snobbery. Thats how the music was before a certain time.

Look before the late 90s. Hip-hop was not the defacto music for all Young Black folks in this land

Those songs were the norm, even Father MC was dropping lyrical club tracks. Lyrical club bangers is something that practically been erased from history, being told by the short bus rappers because that's where they depend on their income.

Don't forget Busta Rhymes. He was BODYING IT in his first 5 albums with lyrical club bangers!
