The Devil's Advocate
Call me Dad
I try to talk people into eating everything on vacation... Not only to say you did it, but to actually taste clean food. Meaning most countries ain't putting all the same steroids, hormones, etc into their meats.. A lot of countries have banned corn syrup.. I know in Brazil they use sugar cane instead of our sugar... Then you get into the way the heat the foods, seasonings, spices, recipeeeeeessssssssssss.... They ain't losing grandmama's recipes over there.Yea I hate people that do this shyt, and I'm a picky eater. It's like when people here ask me "when I go to america what will I eat burger and pizza?" like we don't have 100 fukking dishes in america from NOLA Gumbo, to Alaskan Salmon, to Maine Lobsters, to Socal Tacos, to Philly cheesesteaks, to Jambalaya"
It's a matter of trying and seeing what you like. Ask what it is, you know what your taste buds sorta like, and see if the combination works for you. That's part of the adventure, I tried chicken hearts in Brazil and it was actually pretty damn tasty, they even have this like kebab like meat with cheese in it, and that was bomb. Even here, I have my favorite dishes, again its a matter of trial and error and thats the beauty of it.
I think im about to order some beef sinigang right now actually. I eat this shyt more than pancakes and eggs now lol, plus its healthy and I think I got a cold coming.
I have eaten chicken and fish variations on 5 continents.. I can assure you that they never taste the same. It's as different as chicken in NYC crown fried vs chicken straight out of momma's pot in the NO... It's amazing how people can see such a huge differences even from new york to cali from fashion, food, accent, way of life, style of houses, weather, laws, all that.... But think there's no benefit in seeing entirely new countries and continents
