These are actually facts and I have worked those jobs in the feds. They don't call the higher end jobs call reps, but info specialists or paralegal specialists. Want receipts? I used to be a damned QCS in a call center.

I work in the federal government & that pay is facts. You don’t know how the Gs pay scale works
My buddy for example worked long enough at his prior agency where he was getting 80k. Once you transfer to a new agency they will typically match your salary.
All call centers are not the same . Some are more office oriented than the sales type of call centers

Call center floor was always dark as hell and felt like a warehouse
I had already got like two warnings for arguing with customers
Our job was to literally defer scam ppl who wanted refunds on muscle and weight loss pills
My computer was turned off when I got to work
I turned in my badge and went home
My manager called me twice and I didn't bother picking up
I told GEICO that the moment you turn my work cell phone into a call center, I am walking away. I told everyone in the regional office the same thing.
The moment came and I resigned wiith honors. I had my box and we had a meeting outside the corporate office with my box of equipment. I told my direct supervisor , I have no ties or children nor am I married like you. I'm walking away. I turned my company car in and when I put my cell phone. He looked at me and shook my hand.
My years of getting bonuses in dec/ jan of getting 4k cash every end of fiscal year. I saved.
Then i got a job working for all the expansion warehouses and whole foods warehouses and I had fun going back to my old warehouse days. I grew up doing stock and overnight stock for UPS, BJs Wholesle, Costco, and other stores all over NYC. But walking away , I knew my value. 60k wasn't enough for me to be a slave to my work cell phone.
Now, I'm back in the business and the OGs in the insurance world are retiring. So the vacuum is here and I'm like, I have no choice but to move up because the experience in this world you can't just learn overnight.
My linkedin is on fire but I'm holding in because I gotta pay for my shelter and can't be homeless. So if they offer me 80k+ i'm going to commit again.

Had to bump this. I just quit a call center after working at one since October. Once I got another job offer, I only logged back on to get a copy of my most recent paystub and logged right tf back off.
The company itself was fine and I only took the role because I wanted to get in the company itself and was hoping to move around by 6 months. Bruh, this was a literal NIGHTMARE. The fact that i even made it from October to July was a fukkin miracle. I couldn't do no more. I literally gained 30 pounds just from drinking titos all day, everyday, for 9 months. shyt turned me into a functioning alcoholic lol. Being drunk all day, everyday was the only way I could manage it.
May God bless anybody who can do this job because I cant.

Having your pick of the litter. That was a lot of younger hoes, first time REALLY being amongst older dudes 21+. Those 18 - 20 year olds, were food, to the young wolves, and aint even know. So much innocence lost...
The after-parties....the roast sessions, the fashion shows. The hoes trying to out-dress and outshine each other, and the brehs, benefitting...
The call-center was the shyt back in the day.
