honestly GKMC is not fukking with DAMN...
The Best Songs Kendrick wrote in his career were on DAMN

ain't shyt on GKMC fukking with DNA, FEEL, FEAR, DUCKWORTH
I like the storytelling and flow of GKMC over DAMN. I feel like DAMN. is more of a group
of great songs and isn’t as purposeful in its approach as GKMC. I also prefer how personal GKMC is too.

Real talk, Damn is a great album. The fact that fans are arguing quality in comparison to his other critically acclaimed projects shows you that it’s a great project
Not only that, there is no consistency as to what's the best album. Usually each artist has their must have Illmatics / It was writtens or the Reasonable Doubts / Black Albums in their lists or it just doesn't look right.

I don't think Kendrick ever made a bad album, just a different one with different purposes each time he drops. Some people can fukk with the diversity, some people want the same style used again for another album it seems. Can't be mad at dude for growing.:francis:

I see it , Great rap album... Well put together. The album had themes, mainstream songs, and lyrical shyt.

I could make arguments for his other albums being better. But compared to other Rap albums that dropped last year It's the best

Record labels found a way to commercialize "woke" music without offending the audience(:mjpls:) IMO. Get ready for the kendrick clones next year.

44 bricks...acre shaker
After forcing myself to break into it after several months already, the verdict’s our...can’t get with it. Not saying it’s a bad album, just not for me. I do like Yah, Element, and Humble. Literally everything else is not listenable for me.
Can still listen to sec80, GKMC, and TPAB front to back.
But u made it look sexy:yeshrug:

The only ppl getting bent out of shape over these awards, are nikkas like you who are mad Kendrick won a Pulitzer. Pulitzer wasn't even in your vocabulary, before the day Kendrick was awarded one.
If I were to search for Pulitzer on the entire Coli, It probably would have less than 10 results before the day Kendrick won one. Off top the top of your head, you can't even name 5 Pulitzer winners, yet you are an expert on who's, and what's qualified to win one.
Replace Pulitzer with Grammy, Nobel Prize, VMA, Oscar, Emmy etc. Awards mean very little outside of the fact that the general masses/cacs decided to award you

There are billions of writers/artist thtoughout history who are worthy of such recognition. The fact that these individuals never got any is proof that you shouldn't give a fuk and that they're worthless

It's nice cacs like Kendrick enough to give him a prize but ultimately it means nothing. Which is why we all looked at Q tip like a weirdo when he was crying over Tribe not getting a Grammy nomination.

Why do you care so much about white approval? Or even approval from the general masses who don't even understand what you do and are only acknowledging you because it's trendy to do so at the moment.

And scust at your c00n ass thinking we should give a damn about the previous individuals who received some ribbon. I'm more interested in what an author/writer has to say and I'm not keeping track of how many "awards" they've won, nor should one care. They're meaningless, as with all "Honors"

You ol' im so happy white people are acknowledging me d1ck licking ass c00n

It's a nice POP hip hop record but it's not some undeniable classic and Kenny has better projects than DAMN. Pretty much everything he's released actually.

The only thing I genuinely enjoyed from Kendrick was Section 80. I still play that 'till this day and 'Chapter Six' in the whip is smooth enough to bring democrats and republicans together for 90 seconds in Alabama. Still, I struggle to get into most of his stuff. I try to give it a shot but it just never clicks. Occasionally, he drops a gem on me.. 'How Much A Dollar Cost' is a personal classic. For the most part however, I simply can't get into his material, which is bizarre because so many herald him as this hip hop savant. I tend to stay positive about the guy, though.

He's not anyone I check for but his success speaks for itself. Ultimately, that entire TDE crew confuses me considering their hype. The only one I check for and play consistently is Isaiah. His latest album was a drop off in quality from 'Cilvia Demo' which was stellar from start to finish but his stuff is so much smoother and enjoyable than the rest, imo, which is funny because he's basically the runt of the group while Kendrick is the franchise. To each their own, I guess.
