Helms was actually worse off after "beating" Rock. He ended up being that "tee-hee, look at that guy beat the Rock, how cute" , kind of in the 1-2-3 Kid post-Razor win fashion, but without the talent and mic skills to get over. When Waltman re-invented himself into Syxx/Xpac he did it in a very intelligent and convincing way. When Hurricane became "Gregory Helms", he did absolutely nothing to separate himself from his earlier stigma of being a comedy jobber who Rock decided to put over on a whim, and thus became Mr. generic cruiserweight.
And im not saying him going over rock was thevworst thing. I wont go that far. Beating the rock once is like 5 cruiser weight title reigns. But...how did tock put over hurricane? In the end rock got more out of it then hurricane...

No matter what title kevin owens wins unttil the big belt or mitb besting cena clean is arguably his best achievement in wwe imo because he was made in to an immediate big deal even after cena finished the feud by winning

Now rock putting over brock...THATS how u put someone over. Brock already was the beast but besting the dog shir out of rock solidified brock as the motherfukking monster he really was. Beating kayfabe one of the toughest guys in the world doesnt really do much when u do it in a fluke way. Yeah u get a pop but it usually hurts a guy more or less then promote them. Same with santino...tino beat umaga and instantly became ic chsmp yet no one remenbers anything tino did until he turned heel and started being a comedy character.

There is putting over and there is winnjng a match. Tsker beat trips at the manja they fought...but who walked out on their own two feet and who got dragged out? :troll:

RVD blew it less than a month after being handed the ball, which HHH rightly predicted four years prior. Kane allowed himself to be X-Pac's sidekick less than a year removed from his peak overness.
Xpac wasn't even there in 04 :dahell:

Lets discuss somethkng brehs
...rock let hurricane win a match he didnt put hurricane over though
Was hurricane higher on the card and of jnportance to the grand scheme of things after besting the rock? j think people confuse winning with putting over
Hogan pinned jarrett on ppv but did he really "go over"?
Same as rey winnkng the world title or pubk winning the world title

They won bjt werent utilized as a bigger priority then their competition. If u get employe of the month jn janurary yet i dont and j still make more then u snd am still more trusted and respected, would u really have improved?
Nah he definitely put Hurricane over during those segments before they even stepped in the ring.

Look at this reaction 10:00 in

RVD wasn't red hot in 06'. I'm pretty sure he's taking about 02' when RVD was red hot and the lane was wide open for him to become the next big babyface after the brand extension , but then big nose vetoed it. That 06' RVD title reign was nothing but a bone they threw him, by that time Cena Mania was already in full effect

And Orton....and Jericho....and Punk....and London/Kendrick for no damn reason. Tried that Bullshyt on Bryan but the fans weren't having it :bryan:
I'll bite. How did HHH bury Orton, Jericho, and Punk? LMAO.
How many title reigns do they have between them? How long was Punk champ? Its like some of yall fake-hate HHH just to seem cool. The person I believe he truly buried that could have broken into that next level was Booker T. And Booker T still made something of his WWE time. But some of these people that yall say HHH buried...London/Kendrink :comeon: Steiner:comeon:

Orton's initial title & face run were both completely fukked by HHH.

And Jericho & Punk have both stated via twitter/podcast that HHH derailed their careers at the time for his own ego.
