I don't think people actually understand the magnitude of leverage China actually has over America and it's western European partners

The American public in general won’t care until it starts to affect the price of creature comfort luxuries such as their iPhones and cost of items on SHEIN and TEMU.

Literally nothing is made here. Even machinery like some automobile, planes, and other goods that tout being American made import certain parts from China and other Asian countries like Singapore, Taiwan, and the Philippines.
Ironically it’s the SHEIN/Temu stuff that we don’t really need will probably be the least affected. We already have like Family Dollars and Ollies packed with down line unsold goods.

It’s the stuff that expires or needs to be packaged a certain way that is going to be the problem.

My friend told me the price of hangers at her store are going up.

Imagine a butcher having to put meat in newspaper again because the styrofoam/plastic isn’t available
