The US and other Western countries started investing in China during the 1970s & 1980s because it was seen as the way to "democratize" and "Westernize" China.

While China certainly has become more "Westernized", the country is still not even close to being democratic.

And the biggest one that I had no idea about is that they control the raw material necessary to make magnets. China has huge leverage...but here is the big problem.

In 2008, everyone collapsed in the house of cards except China. They had almost no debt. They took on huge debt to help buy the world out of recession and expand their own infrastructure at the same time.

Now their debt problem is as bad as ours plus population woes. BUT they have a great physical and innovation economy right now.

The scary thing is time is on no one's side and so a lot of people are gambling whoever strikes first and hardest wins.....

American billionares were so blinded by their greed they sold off manufacturing to China and stopped concerning themselves with making quality affordable products and services people want.

The goal of every business is to make profit and reduce costs. An employee is a cost. They dealt with the "problem" of having to pay a decent wage by simply sending those jobs away. These billionaires are also racist and assumed the Chinese would never reverse engineer the shyt they were tasked with assembling. They assumed they'd fall in line and never come up with their own alternatives. So now that they have, they're out here talking about how China "stole" jobs. Wealthy white people are some of the most despicable excuses for humans on the face of this earth.

Beefing with the country that makes so much of your shyt is like dissing the cook at a restaurant and the wait staff then getting mad that your food arrives cold and doesn't taste good.

Sure they have a lot of empty factories ready to go in Vietnam, but that’s the easy part. All those lessons China learned in order to be where they are today is going to take a really long time. Remember, in 15-20 years you’re not supposed to be good enough for 2025, you have to be good enough for 2045. Plus overall, Vietnam simply isn’t seeing Chinese brainpower.

Plans are nice, but implementation, action, etc. are not as straightforward. A lot of potential roadblocks and outright showstoppers along the way on the local and global level.
