People don't realize how big moose and elk are. I have family in western Washington and the elk signs light up like a super warning to be careful in the area. Because hitting a regular deer can fukk your car up. An elk will most likely kill you. I dread to know what damage a moose will do

Seen 2 bulls fighting on a back road 10yrs ago. Couldn’t even drive past them guys. Tall as giraffes with body’s husky like elephants.

Not only are they massive, in heavy snow, they move silently. My great grandfather used to hunt small game. He said he was always on the look out for moose. They don't make themselves known like other animals unless animals which is a problem since they don't like you getting too close. It's easy to invade their space if you aren't paying attention.

I was in upstate NY one time and saw some near the road I was driving up and I was astonished at how large moose are. They really are huge but majestic creatures.

Quite a few people die every year hitting a moose. You can bounce deers off but moose will get their legs under cut and fall right on top of your car and crush everything. I’ve seen 3/4 ton pickup trucks written off looking like they hit a wall.

I saw one get hit in Vermont.
