If you're an AA you're supposed to do your best to vote for both the Presidential Office and the Local Government. That may suck but both have an influence on your existence as AAs. For sure you can care more about who gets a place in your local government but choosing your president is also a must, because chances are whoever is president can affect the people who can make local government work for you, the people.

There's no answer where you get to give up on voting, all while expecting anything to change. And if you've completely given up on anything changing then perhaps moving is in order then.

Search Bills in Congress - GovTrack.us

Please tell me in those long lists of bills sponsored by him...which one primarily benefits Black people only? The only one you can even say is the one he did for November 4 2015 to end the federal ban on marijuana...but he only did that cause he is in the middle of a presidential race trying to beat Hillary. You mean to tell me in the 2 decades he has been doing this he never thought before to sponsor a bill to end prohibition on marijuana? Its a long ass list but check out those other bills...not ONE of them are things that would primarily effect Black people in positive ways to bring substantial change for us.

We're already under one voting umbrella, Democrats. We've been voting exclusively Democrat since the 60s and it hasn't helped us.

Democrats are a white political party
Republicans are a white political party
Neither of them give a fukk about us

Bingo. I'm :scust: at us just blindly voting for Democacs. They visit some black churches, kiss some babies I'm the ghetto and we vote them in. They are Republicans who have :troll: us. They generally don't mean us any good.

I would rather we either make our own party.... Or do what other groups do. Pay these politicians and make them do our bidding instead of just voting them in and get NOTHING to show for it.

Until we get our money right Black people are going to have to vote defensively. The right wing of this country wants a return to limited local government with weak federal oversight. Combine that with a bunch of confused Hotep bruhs who are championing for us not to vote (a right many of our ancestors lost their lives to acheive) and we are going to return to same conditions that facilitated the creation of Black laws and Jim Crow.

Non are gonna pigeon hole black people but if you read that list many are beneficial especially to lower class black people.

But these people have no idea how politics works so they don't hear you. Adults think that showing up to vote for the president means he will represent you. It's "one dollar, one vote" not "one man, one vote". And for some reason black people REFUSE to play the game right. What do you guys think is the point of group economics?

I told you guys already this election is gonna be a low turnout and break a record for low turnouts. The Black people who do end up voting will primarily be the old Black people who are stuck in their ways and wanna support Clinton. Our young peers are gonna listen and not vote for Dems this election cycle(for the most part) but its the old folks that ain't gonna let go of their stubbornness.

So anyway what do you guys think we should do to start a political party for Black people? If this were to happen what were the first steps you think would have to be done? like where do we start at in terms of funding and organizing it

I like the idea of starting our own party. We get a social media channel and pump information and schedules through it.

I swear allegiance to nothing but myself. I just find it ironic how this haven of pro-blackness finds it justified to vote for a group of passionate racists.
Cause they're try-hards

Just like Carson, they will try their hardest to prove how black they are by doing some shyt that actually proves how inept they are with regards to the issues.

Dudes are shytting on on Bernie Sanders of all people...

We can either make our own party, which requires capital. Or we can buy politicians like everyone else, which also requires capital.

Funny how this conversation is turning into another "We need to/We shoulda\We gotta..." instead of anything concrete.

shyt, if anything the Coli could be a representative\Media destination for an up and coming black politician and get people in his district or whatever to vote for them, while in the mean time handling their web presence.

But y'all rather just pump your chest and stroke your own ego like not voting is some form of nobility and not that of a lazy cluess buffoon.
