i've learned that you have to just let things be as they are now

ain't no goin' back

the past is the past

what's done is done

i was thinkin' bout this tonight, even though i think the 90's hip hop era was by far better than now, i really can't compare it to now because for 1 it's like night and day; no comparison and 2. the 90's are what they were and now is what it is

simple as that

i think for so long i was in my own bubble with music that i often times didn't give a lot of stuff a fair chance even if it was good, because to me, it was like if it was a similar sound of the past, i felt like i'd heard it before. but everythin' goes in cycles so that's inevitable anyway

i no longer feel the need to bash hip hop of today. i think i've finally realized to accept it for what it is; if it's wack it's wack and that's always been the case with any era or anythin' but if it's great and or good enjoyable, interestin', fun or catchy music to listen then enjoy it for what it is and nothin' more, nothin' less

it's time to embrace the future and what it has to offer

Wont ever embrace this shyt. I have just learned to fukk with the artists that I fukk with and accept that I'm :flabbynsick: and disgruntled

i'm not sayin' embracin' what i think is wack, i just mean embracin' what is good. i think i'd gotten so stuck in my own bubble, that i didn't even always get a fair chance to a lot of good stuff either

as i said in the 1st post:

Clearly today's stuff is the realization of 90's artistry. It's not at all like a tremendously corrosive agent was applied to the latter part of said decade.

like i said, this ain't to say it ain't a lot of bullshyt out there but it can't be all bad. i think sometimes we get so attached to what we grew up on and what we became accustomed to, that it becomes hard to accept and embrace new sounds (the music --- both the rappers and beats) and i'm sayin' this only if they are good, not wack lol
