like i said, this ain't to say it ain't a lot of bullshyt out there but it can't be all bad. i think sometimes we get so attached to what we grew up on and what we became accustomed to, that it becomes hard to accept and embrace new sounds (the music --- both the rappers and beats) and i'm sayin' this only if they are good, not wack lol
My bad... i thought you said "embrace future" not "embrace the future"
But yea, not liking the current music is a sign im getting :flabbynsick:
in a few years i'll be like, thats not music, thats noise. It's already starting

I like some of the new stuff but that was the golden age and was clearly superior to today's hip-hop, it just is what it is :yeshrug:No one can convince me otherwise.

right, i feel you. i'm right there with you bruh but all i'm sayin' is i realized that a lot of times i've been a lil too quick with tunin' out some of the stuff that is good

but i feel you, bruh. i know and as i said in my 1st post, i still think the 90's hip hop era was better by far. like i said, it ain't even a comparison. you can't compare!

You can trace all bad hip hop to Puff Daddy. He hopped on the scene in the late 90s and made everybody worship money and bullshyt. He went quiet for a little while over the last decade...He came back with new music when a few artists with substance started popping and brought everybody back to bullshyt.

There were things that allowed Puff to become what he became. I'd be talking to maybe 4 other posters if I were to attempt that convo. He is THE singular rap scoundrel in my opinion.

no, the future. not future the wannabe singer lol

trust me, i'm there too. because a lot of time all i hear is noise. i already know i'm :flabbynsick: and maybe part of me bein' flabby is the reason for not bein' so stuck in my ways and just wantin' to hear some new decent hip hop to listen too. not the wack shyt, but the good stuff, even though the good stuff of today can't compare to that of the 90's

but i do really like what cole (not the best rapper, got a lot of corny lines sometimes lol but he aight) is bringin' to the table. i like what kendrick is doin. big krit. these 3 brothers doin' they thing and makin' music i like

curren$y another 1 who put out good music. i know he been around for a minute but he still doin' his thing

big sean had a nice album last year. i ain't sayin' he the best either, but he got some potential.

none of these guys are anyone i would compare to the era i came up in, but they are puttin' out some good and decent music considerin' how run down this era is

See its shyt like this that lets me know who You People really are.

Why because I'd rather listen to Mac Miller instead of Yung Thug? Truth be told I fukked with the K.I.D.S mistake and Blue Slide park but his album after that he took a turn to doing that old Eminem shyt and I slowed down.

This new shyt just ain't me. Maybe it's because I'm an 80's babies who grew up in a time when most of these nikkaz would have been clowned, or maybe it's because they ain't talkin bout shyt or maybe it's cuz I'm just an old nikka :yeshrug:, but I still stand by my old shyt and can point to when that movie dropped and how the music took over shyt. Great music is going to sell regardless and I can't see none of these new nikkaz having movies made for them...just saying

Nowhere
i never had a real issue with the different eras but i'm young myself
i ain't really lookin for new artists to do what old artists do because no new artist is going to do it as well as the masters.

when i want to bump that raw shyt i go back i bump it and enjoy it. when i wanna hear some new shyt i do that too.

what's funny to me is people who don't realize that all their favorite artists of this new era are all influenced by and look up to the older artists :mjlol:

like people will stan kanye and call wu tang "dusty" like wu tang and rza ain't kanye's main influences :dead: shyt like that is just brain dead to me
when i find out my fav artists influences i go and listen to them and learn and appreciate, i ain't dissin them...

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Music is the soundtrack to your life. Late 80's and all of the 90's hip hop is the sound of my youth. Late 90's and early 2000's was my my 20 years.

Today's hip hop is different. I fukks with some but a lot I don't because my mentality is different. And most of the 90's hip hop I can't fukk with because it doesn't represent who I am anymore. I can only look back and reflect on shyt I did during that era. Memories and that's it.

i agree and i feel that. you right :wow:

i just know it's gotta be some new producers out there puttin' out good music in their own way but in a cool way that pete rock once did, or premier, and or dre

it's gotta be, it's just too much music out there for it not to be some talented muthafukkas out there

it's just 1 helluva job shufflin' through so much trash to get to it sometimes lol
