fukk you TS. Delivery drivers wear out their vehicles and risk getting robbed to bring food to your lazy bytch ass...if you a repeat customer you should get some extra "toppings" :pacspit:

we should be blaming the pizza companies for charging the "delivery fee". why am I paying that if it doesn't go towards the driver? if it isn't tip and he is paying gas out of his own pocket then shyt doesn't add up :francis:

I tip $2-3 usually but if the place is close and im not real drunk ill get it myself to avoid that nonsense

Simple answer is because its a business, and they CAN charge you for it, so they do :yeshrug:

I worked at Papa John's for a while in high school and college.

Nobody is spitting in your pizza for not tipping. I really hate that myth. Do you know the sorts of liability a company would face if someone found spit on their food?

Worst case is that they just take forever to bring you your food. I also don't feel sorry for delivery drivers. Nikkas was making mad cake while I was bussin my ass in the store. Sometimes you'd see drivers gone for HOURS. Come back like "Where da hell you been?" :dwilhuh:

I used to see drivers snatching up the pizzas we messed up on and trading them for food with the other fast food restaurants.

I got stories for days. fukk them drivers yo.

#4) The driver just has to grab orders, deliver them, and collect the cash. It’s hardly a job worth a tip.
FALSE.
Drivers are the grunts of the store, and do every job inside it. We clean the store at opening, fold boxes, make orders, take orders, box orders, proof the dough, make the wings, mix the sauce, load the freezers, cut the dough, unload the truck, balance the register, clean the counters, mop the floors, wash the windows, empty the trash, and get everything ready for the next day. In fact, drivers are the last employees to leave behind the manager on duty, and the first to arrive to help with the daily chores. Combine that with low pay and the fact we still deliver your food, and we work harder than anyone else in that store sometimes.

This dude is telling some serious duck tales. Drivers SHOULD do all of that stuff but they have the ability to grab a couple of boxes and dip out at any second.

I remember we used to have a backlog of shyt to be done... hella boxes to fold, hella dough to be tossed.

I'd be like, "Ay you gone help me with these boxes right?" :shaq2:
Driver: Yeah, just let me go run these deliveries real quick. I'll be right back. :mjpls:
*hours later*
Me: I thought you said you'll be right back. :damn:
Driver: :umad:

You tip to insure proper service. I always plug the delivery guy if he comes through on time. Result? Everytime i order food it gets to my house in less than 45 minutes. Still hot fresh off the stove. And the neighborhood joints i order from actually started throwing in free stuff.

You don't need to tip cuz end of the day there profit margin is high as fukk anyway. But when you do tip they'll go the extra mile to make sure you keep tipping.

Being a cheap ass is whats hot in the streets now? :dahell:

My mom waited tables most of my life so we could have extra's. Dad busting his ass with 2 jobs to make ends meat. If it weren't for mom dukes and her tip money, birthdays would have been the worst days, Christmas would have came and went and those rare times there was enough left over to go on a family camping trip or something would have been non-existent.

Now that I am a grown man, with a successful career (#certgang :smugdraper:), I always tip 20% regardless. How many of these waitresses, deliver drivers got kids at home who go without?
I give no fukks that all this dude is doing is driving a pizza over to my house, fukk is another 3-5 bucks?

Nice thread TS, this issue doesn't get talked about enough on here :salute:

What's the point of being cheap while using services? Just make your own food, buy and make your own drinks, etc.

Oh because you are lazy and cheap.. :ehh:
