You have to be Caucasian or Samoan in WWE for prolonged prosperity and proper placement, which makes Rikishi's bytching about his son's booking laughable. A guy like Montez would kill for a title shot where he loses, much less a Wrestlemania match where he wins.
Even before she got injured, the most talented woman on their roster -- Bianca Belair -- had been regulated to a background prop and was the third wheel in a title match. Got booed by the crowds overseas anytime she was in the ring with the goth chick and Asian.
This girl
Beat this woman
In 7 minutes at their second biggest event of the year. And this was weeks after the blonde was on camera walking up to a black male in the crowd and calling him, "Boy." It was a clear middle finger, and nikkas still tuned in on Monday.
I understand the kids who don't quite comprehend the social programming being instilled by the booking (people like you don't get to excel in serious roles here) but I do not -- for the life of me -- understand how any black man or woman continues consuming and paying for their events/merchandise when they show you repeatedly what they think of you. You have to have a humiliation kink. At what point does entertainment and sentimental value take a backseat to dignity?
