its not enough to just let the people develop a distinct style/character and just stick it out

thats the difference to me with wrestling before the 2000s characters rarely went through major reworks

with video games/toys as a backdrop it made more sense to have characters be consistent to me as a youngin but thats just my take on it

like if they took ravishing rick rude and put him in the current landscape, he would only be ravishing for atleast 6-9 months then hed have a change to ravaging rick just to play new angles (no pun intended)

it makes sense in short term booking but longterm you just have characters becoming less memorable

Vince basically buries talent. To promote himself and at times his own lineage.
