street kids who were sent to youth detention centers started the vice lords in the 50s and that set in motion the gangbanging culture as the other gangs were formed in the 60s and 70s.
Started out as protection from cops and white folks, then escalated to crips terrorizing their own neighborhoods, which led to other cats forming the bloods to fight the crips , then tricking down to Regan and boys planting drugs and guns throughout the ghettos of L.A. which in turn into violence by everyone for their self for money and hasn't look back.
But L.A. natives will tell u, many of us are working too much to even see the beach life like the transplants because our expenses are too Damn high.
But it is also sad that few of my cousins who was gangbanging never saw Santa Monica beach till they reach their 30s and they live 30 minutes away..
