Nigel mcguiness says his career was a failure cuz he didn't make it to the E :merchant:

Yep it's sad, but people have been told that the wwe is the end all be all for so long that they truly believe it.

Even without a wwe stint sting had a great career.

Look at guys like the great muta and jushin liger. They had great careers also.:manny:

As long as this mentality exists the wwe will always have the advantage over other wrestling companies and leverage to get who ever they want off the indy scene.:yeshrug:

Pwg has been working with wwe?

Hes also mentioned roh and njpw
He hasn't booked a promotion with a major tv deal and his first booking was evolve . Also wwe seems ok with pwg as some NXT guys did both .According to Bryan Alvarez his release may have been early but with not being able to work at tnA and roh

Every former WWE wrestler that leaves in good terms will be welcomed back quickly if they are successful outside of the company. I don't see what's different with this Cody situation.

Dude got tired of WWE, didn't piss anyone off and wants to have a good run in the indys and overseas. shyt ain't rocket science :manny:

I thought he didn't burn any bridges when he left. He was frustrated but I thought he left in good terms with management in the sense that he would be welcomed back. If I'm wrong I stand corrected :ehh:

Unfortunately the WWE is the end all be all in American wrestling at the present time. 20-30 years ago you still had the NWA/WCW and you could become a star (Sting, Goldberg, DDP, Booker T, etc). Ten years ago you had TNA when it was in a better position. In 2016 it's the WWE in the United States. Yeah you have ROH, PWG, etc but those are nothing but glorified indies. TNA is a joke at this moment and they are struggling.

You could go to Japan and make some money but everyone wants to be a star in their home country. Dr. Death and Johnny Ace had great careers in Japan but I'm sure they would have loved to have "made it" in America. Kind of like basketball players. They can go play in Europe and China and make some money but they'll definitely jump at the chance to come off the bench in the NBA if the opportunity arises.
