I’ll park here and observe all the posters who talk out both sides of their mouth. Be in one thread talking about a woman’s traditional role and in the next not with the traditional male role :coffee:

The problem is divorce. Not saying it would happen, but You gotta pay alimony, child support, and lose half your net worth via the house and even 401k. I would like to pay all the bills but it's too risky.

If you have a working spouse, divorce is much less harsh.

From my experience—-the woman who’s the motivation for me to make the thread—-yes, she will. :heh:

In order to submit at that level it requires wealth. They’ve found a way to romanticize being a goal digger. They just put it on the kids ‘I want to be able to raise my kids not some daycare.’ :aicmon:

And the ultimate red flag: ‘as a stay at home mom I’m a chef, maid, nanny, all in one so technically I am bringing in income’ :beli:

What about a man who makes enough to hire a chef, maid, and nanny? Then what?

You would be far, far better off hiring those services. It would be cheaper and you can always cancel.

Traditional roles comes with traditional responsibilities

What the hell does traditional roles even mean?

If a woman works, is she still not cooking and cleaning like a traditional woman?

Even if both ya'll are working, somebody still has to cook, clean, cut the grass. and look after the kids. Split that shyt up and call it a day.

Not a dealbreaker. It’s actually ideal for the child’s early life. :ehh:

However, the delusion in OP’s specific example is a dealbreaker. Real life just doesn’t work like that. Sacrifices are usual made unless the single income is up there

Traveling and shopping aren't traditional parts of the deal. Ask the average 80 or 90+ yr old woman that stayed at home how much shopping she did or how many trips she went on.

If we keeping it a buck, men would be far more receptive to actual traditional roles as it is far more beneficial. When women speak on it they usually base it on the santized, rose colored, or frankly make believe version.
