:manny: some college but no degree. got my own little business that is basically misc 1099 or the equivalent. No shame in my hustle but the income is more like a hobby than a wage (sometimes, other times it's :blessed:) starting a new gig doing MSP which is somewhat new to me. I feel like the only thing I can do is legit strive to move up, even if I'm not there long. Any tips, stories, pitfalls to look out for? I'm basically going into this to build capital and be a shark. Is it possible to maximize my careers without working another entry level job again?

:yeshrug: I suppose getting an associates/certified is one way to go about it. That's also a thing I don't feel like I can afford or dedicate time to. But, I will say, that it's not a bad idea.
Think outside the box. Apply that to getting the associates and your business plan. Find a mentor and do what’s best for yourself.

if youre going the business route you have to constantly be thinking about how youre securing the next dollar

disregard the college tip, instead:

1) identify the gaps between you and the customers -> use a white board and write them all down
2) assign those gaps as problems -> propose a method to solve the problem
3) begin executing each method for better or worse, you dont know until you try
4) track your progress with uniform metrics (look online for templates, find what suits you)
+++) Keep all your expenditures as low as possible, faster you build net worth the easier it will be to finance new moves and seize opportunities

rinse and repeat until your money keeps building. Just keep in mind that the only thing that will matter is money in - money out - taxes. Dont get caught up too much in the details but most importantly know the value of your time and keep a ledger.

Fair poitn. That's true but I haven't stuck around at one long enough to capitalize on that.
If u have 3 years of entry level experience you should ask yourself why urapplying for entry level positions.

all that is correct. also, side hustle pays more. I just want something consistent as a long term/back up. more indecisive than discouraged. i could go all in but i also want to be responsible. i'm going to go all in all the hustle anyway, but i want to know what I have to face if I fail.
