If you're in a nice sized city, google the nearest craft brewery. Go to it and order a 'flight' which is small samplers of all their beers. Taste them all and pick the ones you like- if you like any at all for that matter. Beer is an acquired taste. The ones you like or could end up liking will be a good style for you to start off at.


-I know people want to down the craft beer heads but in reality there's just too much good local fresh craft beer these days to be f*cking with Coronas, Heineken, Bud, Miller, Coors, etc anymore.. unless you're at a party and cats are handing them out for free.

A coworker of mine says it's an acquired taste, so maybe you'll get a taste for it after continually drinking it. Personally, I don't drink beer unless someone else is buying and even then, I prefer a mixed drink or a shot of liquor. Though there was a beer I tried recently that actually tasted pretty good to me

If you like beers with a bit of a citrus kick, wheat beers like Blue Moon or Shock Top are good.

Modelo (Especial) is one of the best Mexican beers. Modelo Negro is a darker beer with a lil more flavor.

Bud Light is prolly my favorite of the main players (Miller/Coors/Bud). (Shiner>>>>, if it's available in your area, tho.)
