Kill yourself fam. Killa Mike appreciates Burnies message and is one of the most informed nikkas socially for years.

Don't let your hate for cacs blind you. I don't vibe Bernie for a variety of reasons, but the man stans for something he believes in and can tell you why. I'm sure you could barely verbalize why you smoke bags of dikks before posting c00nery :wtb:

El-P beats wouldn't be so bad if he produced like he did for his Def Jux label. It's like he's intentionally watering his shyt down :dwillhuh:

Mike need to get off them terrible El P beats and holla at Rozay to exec produce an album for em.
How about you just say you don't like beats that stray from the narrow view of hip hop you have, or that you just don't like them because El-P is an excellent producer and those beat's are excellent (and they knock, they're even better at a concert).
Mikes voice and delivery is on some Chuck D/ KRS steeze where you can understand EVERYTHING he is saying and he is speaking very directly to the listener, its a damn shame he is rapping on all these souless EDM beats that aint even meant for black folks lol. Them beats are literally empty sounds with no substance.

Put Mike on some Soulful beats and a few Stadium beats, throw a Jay Elec, Rozay, and Nas feature, have Cee Lo sing a few hooks and you got a classic album

:mjcry:
Those beats have a lot of soul/heart, maybe you just can't feel it, but I don't see how A Christmas fukkin Miracle, Crown, or Angel Dust don't have "soul".
Art isn't made for one specific race, people calling music "black" or "white" music is and always will be terrible, I don't listen to much alternative rap and what I have listened to I don't feel that much, but I don't call it "white people" music, that's the type of talking that pushes black people who have "non stereotypical" away.

What would make it have substance? A soul sample?
And this idea that RTJ isn't for black people is terrible.
When I went to their concert I saw plenty of black people singing those songs a long with me.
When I talk with other black people I know who are rap fans, other than Andre they're all fans of RTJ.
Black hip hop reviewers I follow like him.
MikeCTown from Deadendhiphop may seem a little hipsterish at times but he's the perfect example of why a persons tastes don't need to be boxed in like this.
How does this have no substance?
Maybe taste limiting coli posters want him to stay the same, and there's nothing wrong with preferring Killer Mikes earlier sound, but I don't see the point in attacking it's undeniable quality, the artistic vision, and how great it is that Killer Mike has been able to find a really good freind so late in life that he meshes well with creatively and makes music he's passionate about, not many artists get the chance he's had.
Just as annoying as the people who won't let go of the GKMC sound.
Don't worry though, you'll probably get what you want when he drops Elegant Elephant, and until then he'll continue to drop heat with El-P.

Edit:Maybe i'm being too abrasive, I just hate the idea of people trying to stifle an artists creativity and make them give the fans more of the same

Run The Jewels is dope as fukk and if we're being honest EL-P's production
on R.A.P. is more faithful to that early Hip-Hop sound than Boom Bap Producer
#9999 trying to be Premo or Dilla.

Something about banging 808's and hard snares and kicks that evokes
Run DMC, LL Cool J, The Beastie Boyz etc. it's a visceral in your face
sound matched by their delivery that gives it a liveliness that's lost on
some of these other producers. :yeshrug:

Also,I gotta say this thread doesn't come off as genuine when it's coming from @Napoleon
whose favorite rapper only mentioned police brutality to get the heat off of him over ghost writing
accusations, I mean, that guy epitomizes pandering and "safe".

your stars are but dust on my shoes
The thing about Mike is that his work has been a little underwhelming since Pledge 2. At least his work with El-P got him some recognition, cause his other mixtapes before that (where I think he called himself Bigga Mike or something) was literally getting him nowhere.

I don't fukk with it, but I mean, at least he's found more success with white folks, which means he'll be seeing at least a little more paper.:yeshrug:
