Start icing in the meantime. Ibuprofen might help but prolly won’t. For topical application, try bio freeze spray and/or lidocaine gel .

Go to an urgent care as soon as you can. If they can prescribe muscle relaxers, that can tide you over for a bit.

Look up McKenzie protocol for exercises.

Book an appointment with an ortho or neurosurgeon, so they can order an MRI.

They can assess if it’s a herniated disc or facet joint issue.

Long term treatment options are physio (it’s always recommended first), then steroid injections which can provide relief in the order of the weeks/months as you do Physio (usually insurance companies require that you’ve either done or are doing Physio), then surgery when Physio and injections don’t work aren’t effective.

Honorable mentions is Radio frequency ablation(RFA), where they deactivate the nerve. Nerve functions comes back after a couple of months.

Agreed.....I had terrible sciatica due to a herniated disc issue. I had to get surgery. Get an MRI ASAP. Don't let it potentially get worse. I cannot stress this enough. This type of pain I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy but if you dont check it you could have long lingering effects for a long time. In the interim, make sure you only sleep on your back, not on your side and definitely not on your stomach. Also ask if your doctor can prescribe lidocaine or gabapentin as that addresses the nerves and weakens their senses to a certain extent.

Hope you feel better breh. My uncle had sciatica and had to get surgery for it. See a doctor soon so they can do a work-up and run x-rays for you.

I had this shyt about 3 months ago. Literally couldn’t walk for like 3-4 days. Then I couldn’t do move to either side for like a week. Went to the doctor and they said I had piriformis sciatica or some shyt. Gave me the pills and lidocaine patches and exercises to do. None that of that shyt worked. The problem started in my lower back, then spread down my leg, all the way to my foot. I can move around fine now, but if I move a certain way, I can feel pain but it’s not too strong. I never went back to the doctor but I need to cause they said it it didn’t get better they would give me an MRI. I need to get that hoe
