I am learning is while working that 9 to 5, try to gain clients in what it is you want to do in between. Once you gain enough trustworthy clientele to sustain you then you can wane off the 9 to 5. I love being creative, writing and thinking so I will build my brand as a marketing consultant. Just have to find clients to do odd jobs in between. Those relationships lead to real leads, pretty much insider information. That's how big business gets handled.

People think I'm joking when I say I'd rather die than work retail again. If worse comes to worse and I can't get my career started.....:wow:

Make it a focus of yours breh. Cause let's be honest, deep down inside you really don't wanna for nobody else, especially not a cac.

Drive around your head and see what types of businesses are missing, then do some research and open it. Ain't gotta be nothing complicated, shyt nikka sell water at sporting events.
I guess I'm procrastinating because I've tried several times to get into some self employment venture but eventually I want this to be residual income.

I been there my G.

I held on for dear life, wanted to quit for a solid 9-10 months and eventually got fired in April.

Been collecting unemployment and working side gigs to pay my bills without dipping into my savings.

Saved up a nice chunk of change over the years so enjoyed the shyt outta my summer funemployment but need to get back on my grind.

Looking to get into the food truck/cart biz or "hot dog stand" like someone said earlier. Can't fathom working for anyone but myself ever again.

Got my food handler's license and now just need to get my vendor's license and I'm good to go.

Keep at it my overworked and underappreciated coli brehthren.....

How much does a food truck cost breh?

What have you tried and why'd they fail?
A few years ago like back in 2009 I created a site and wrote articles about computer related things. After a few months of doing that I lost interest and fell off. A few years later I started another website related to online MP gaming and fell off after about a month. Since then I never really got into these things as I'd just lose interest or whatnot.

This is the best feeling ever...Have a plan, and focus on that to get you thru...

thats where im at....its hard to go to a terrible job when u feel like ure stuck. Set a plan, use that as motivation at ure job to get through. One thing you'll learn when u get a little older (im 30)...All you ever want when ure younger is to get a job where ure "making bank"...and then u land one, and u realize (unless ure lucky and like ure field) that money isnt everything. I feel like the greatest career is something where u make "decent money" but are in a field that is "you"...u have some sort of passion for it.

If u research enough, u can make that money work for you, budget better, and make up some money that way from leaving that higher paying job. Im in the process of doing this now, im confident itll work. Lifes too short, and we work too much to go to terrible fukking jobs. Some people can make that work for them, and have enough interests outside of work and/or a family that trumps all that...me personally, i need to be interested in my job or ill go fukking crazy, and thats where im at now

whats so funny?

All the wantrepreneurs in here that think being self
employed is so liberating when they dont realize its actually 3 jobs all rolled in to 1...they have no work ethic now, and then expect to be these high rollin bosses like its that simple :laff:

just because u dont believe in your self dont mean that others dont bro....nobody said it was going to be easy, if u read were talking about having to work for somebody else, nothing was said about wanting easy work
