Bruhhh... where did u grow up?
I see it everywhere.

People afraid to be in the sun too long because they dont wanna get "dark".
Calling people crispy, blue-black, African booty-scratcher, nappy.
Talking about good hurr, red babies, pinching babies noses so it dont get too big.
Telling kids not to drink coffee cuz it "makes you black".

The main culprits are dark because they are constantly reminded of it from others and when looking in the mirror. They are pummeled with messages that they are not enough and they deflect because it is a natural defense mechanism. And because it has become a part of the culture.

Not the people i knew. I was around light skin black people and dark skin, and all equally got it. But y'all can keep up this dark skin black hate narrative though.

I realize that which is why I asked, "where did you grow up?"

Everyone doesnt have the same experience, hun.
I grew up in oakland. But y'all making these broad ass statements about how dark skin people are the most this and dark skin people are the most that. Naw i can't rock with that nor let it slide. If people are gonna be saying that bullshyt then they need to preface every single statement with (from my own personal experience) and leave it at that.

Dark skin people talk the most shyt about other dark skin people. Its called deflection from self-hate.

Light skin wimminz mostly talk about how lucky they are cuz they are light more than they put down dark skin peeps. But if they have an attitude, they will throw shade and be quick to call a dark dude crispy.

Light skin brehs usually like dark chicks but there's a fair share of colorstruck characters too.

That's just my experience.

All dark skin people need more self-love. Kinky hair too. We live with the system that tells us light is right. The darker you are the more shyt you gotta deal with.

I love my #midnightboyz and its not a fetish. Its not because of the stereotype of penis size or that they somehow genetically produce more testosterone and are more aggressive (from the stereotype that somehow we are more animalistic). It's because they are strong and beautiful the way nature intended. I wish that they realized the strength that is inherently embedded inside themselves so they can walk with their heads held high.

You are the prototype. The first kings, chiefs and scholars. :ohlawd:

You know what's weird, I've never been hit on by a light skin dude. Every black guy that's ever hit on me has been brown to dark skin :ohhh:

I guess the guys who hit on me could be considered brown now that I think of it. :lupe:

I dont use the term brownskin. To me alot of them are considered lightskin. They were lighter than me, but not high yellow... Idk, I dont make it that complicated lol.

Just speaking for myself. I did include that statement in my post. I understand tho. Its a bad habit to generalize people. However, I do find most people I meet to agree with that point.

That's the strangest thing, I've had carmel shaded guys & dark skinned guys come on to me. But it's rare for light skinned boys to. This one at my job was talkin about taking me out wherever I desired but I was thinking he was bullshyttin me so i gave him the :shaq2: :aicmon: reaction... After a while I realized he was for real tryin to see what I was about. :snoop:

A lot of the posts in here generalizing dark skin people are no different than the dudes on here who generalize black women. They also can say they are speaking for themselves. Reading some of these posts are eerily similar to what those dudes post.
But if that's how people want to be on here then so be it. Any person on here generalizing dark skin people as having the most self hate can't say anything when those black women haters say the same thing essentially.

I never even noticed until I actually sat down and thought about it and the dark skin dudes that hit on me were always darker than me.
