From its expansion year to now stuck in mediocrity. Made the playoffs but was never viewed as a serious threat, just another treadmill team. You had T-Mac and Vince Carter at one point, that got fukked up.

It's not like it's a small market team...Toronto is the forth largest city on the entire CONTINENT. Fans show crazy love they basically have the whole country of Canada rooting for them.

Why can't they attract star free agents? Toronto is a world class city without the craziness of LA and the congestion of NYC. I would jump at the chance to raise a family there.

On a global scale yes, but in Canada every sport takes a backseat to hockey. Some parts of Canada find Curling better than ball. Outside of the Toronto area it's all CACS, and they view basketball as a black sport tbh. It won't change.
