I feel sorry for anyone that thinks Joe Burrow will be a star in the NFL...

Yeah but Colin was, if we’re being honest, a season and a half wonder. And was well on his way out the league prior to the protest when he was no longer under the tutelage of Harbough so I’m not sure how much of a compliment you’re paying Joe by aligning him with Kaep

Out of the league? Breh, Chad Henne was still in the league 2 years after Colin left.

Matt Schaub is still in the league

I think Burrow will be ok but i'm not going to go out on a limb and say that he will be the next great white hope either at QB. He had the monster season i know which could mean he turned the corner and is now mastering his craft. Or it could have been a case of a good player in his 5th year having an all time season cause of the offense and the talent around him. Burrow was throwing strikes though but i sometimes feel that if this was a QB at Oklahoma or Baylor or another school that is known for passing then they would just chalk it up to the system and a player having a monster season. But cause LSU not used to seeing those types of numbers maybe it was overhyped somewhat? Now i could be totally wrong cause i dont think i saw anymore than 4 or 5 full LSU games so this is all just a theory. If LSU has the same type of offense next season and the QB there throws for another 45-50 TD's and 4500-5000 yards that will tell a lot though won't it?

Stop the garbage. Look at the stats. Colin had one bad season and he was injured in an offense that did not suit his strengths. On top of that, the season lasted 8 games. His final season he put together good numbers on arguably the worst 9er team in history. Yall love to rewrite history. Fukk outta here.

They put Colin in an offense not suited to his strengths and he wasn't fully healthy. He played well under the circumstances IMO. They lost a lot of good players also

Man if y’all fanboys don’t quit quoting me man. Dude lost his starting job twice to Blaine fukking Gabbert . And by all reports had isolated himself from the team with his moody ass mamas boy temperament. Y’all can pull up all the non contextual stats y’all want, the team was ass and needed a new leader.... fool was finna be Josh Freeman status til he started that “protest”

Kind of amazing the 49ers let the Jim Tomsula era ever happen.

I can at least somewhat understand Chip, but by then the roster was gutted.

Crazy how players get blamed/outta league for no longer being "good" when they are surrounded by trash coaches.

Not a fair comp at all (although you could argue Freeman got a raw deal as well)

If anything Colin would have been Ryan Tannehill status if not for the protest.

Jim Tomsula and the damn OC. How does that happen? You can tell how bad that team was based on where both of them are at. Tomsula is back to being a position coach somewhere and the OC isn't even in the league anymore. And they did this to a QB that played a big part in getting them to 2 championship games and SB. And then we have clowns in here putting that on Kaep who got injured and they still made him play. Then we get Chip Kelly which was a good fit with Kaep and he had a bounce back season while being injured and literally having no talent around him. He was done dirty for real. They owed it to him to give him a legit shot. They didn't.

The last 3 QBs from OU 2 of them went #1 overall and the other went 2nd round, and LSU didn’t play a gimmick offense they spread it out but it was a professional offense if that makes sense, Joe Brady came in and did a lot of what the Saints do

Just because you say it ddoesn't make it true, retard.

He lost his job to Blane Gabbert? When? He got injured and they went with Blaine Gabbert who was shyt. The next season he was still injured and once he was healthy, they started him. Blaine was complete shyt and didn't take anyone's job. He was white and a high draft pick, that is the only reason idiots liked him. End of story.

I thought his touch was fukking fantastic, but this whole "this nikka looks way better than anyone else I've seen", I've never been able to get behind that. Like Kyler....you give Kyler 3 guys on the caliber of CeeDee Lamb...you see where Im going with this.

I know the sentiment as far as talking heads went, LSU being so inept at that position definitely influenced how they analyzed him early in the season...but as everyone became used to it, I think that context became less relevant. I thought he had a top 5-10 season I've seen at the position, but I think the machine that was their offense was the best I've seen overall :ld: RB that could run for 120 and catch for 120, 3 NFL studs at WR, few really good OLmen, TE that I THOUGHT was gonna be pretty valued in the NFL, all that on top of what was a bad year defensively for the SEC, and they had an amazing run.

I still dont know who you couldve taken at QB other than him, even if you thought it was all the system and not him. A lot of what I said also applies to Tua, and he has the injuries. Justin Herbert apologists weird me out.

I remember they had Blaine playing in that kneeling season vs Carolina and he was just a dumpster fire. Thats the only time I remember Carolina slapping up SF. I was scared Kaep was gonna come in the whole game

Hopefully the Bengals will acquire the talent and run the same type of offense for him then cause at least with Baker he had success for 3 years and Kyler was all everything coming in who you knew would be successful as long as a coach didn't get cute and just let him play QB.
