Jim Brown is the most overrated “civil right icon” of all damn time. When u ask what exactly he did, the only thing you can ever point at is the summit photo. Kareem, Ali and Russell were still talkin the talk and walking the walk when Jimbo was outchea making Mandingo movies and throwing blk women out of windows. Most ppl don’t realize that he was Ali’s manager for a brief time but he saw the light on his ass early on but decided not to put him on blast.

The old Jim Brown did a lot more than that but he's now a full blown c00n. I wonder what happened to him:patrice:

An 82 year old black man who directly lived through the Civil Rights eras should think this way. Him and everyone like this are scum.

I like Jim so I really want to understand where he was coming from with this...

But I just don’t get it. I think he got caught up trying to sound politically intouch and go the unpopular opinion route. But he ended up saying something stupid. He should have just kept this one to himself.

I’m gonna chalk it up to CTE

People acting all disappointed but I don't get why. Outside of working with some gang members in LA, sitting at a table with other black athletes for a photo-op 50 years ago, and rocking th African print style kufi, what exactly has him brown done for black people? I don't know why anyone has ever thought that he was pro black. If you read up on his background you'd know that whites were instrumental in his upbringing. If I'm not mistaken he had a white man that he looked up to as a father figure.

I'm not chalking it up to CTE. That's an excuse. I tried to treat him like the crazy uncle at the BBQ when he popped up and said something wild these past few years.

He seems sound enough to know exactly what he's saying and how it'll impact people. Kareem and Bill still holding it down though.
