HELL NO!
i got respect for jay for his run in the game but what biggie did musically from 92' to 97', jay has never measured up to in my honest opinion
only thing jay got over biggie his more material but what's that sayin' when a lot of the material ain't all that? not a lot at all

biggie >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> jay z

all day, everyday
again, biggie smalls is the illest!

judging by their first 2 albums? sure

but Jay-Z surpassed Biggie since he put out the Blueprint IMO

Jay always been a watered down corny rapper. Its a damning indictment of how shyt rap became post 97 that this man not only became successfull but grown men seriously consider him as a GOAT candidate

15 albums, 2 classics at best, a ratio of 1 dope song for every 10 tracks

And this is yall hero?

:camby:

yup and i like some of jay's stuff but i agree and i think he only got over because we lost big and pac do there was no other person to fill that void that they left

expectations changed and the quality of music changed too

bro Snoop got 1 classic outta 20 albums or wherever he's at. Does that mean he aint shyt?

In My Lifetime, American Gangster, and the Black Album are at least almost classics and wouldn't react if someone said they were classics.

hell naw :mjlol:

jay ain't got 1 single album that fukks with ready to die or life after death. not a 1!
and i like some of jay's music but biggie was better in every single way as an mc and artist

RD and RTD are debatable. I like RTD more but RD is on that level.

Both rappers got 2 undeniable classics and are really skilled with Jay-Z being even sicker. :yeshrug:

Bruh aint nobody calling Snoop the GOAT.

And if those albums u listed are classics so is Tha Last Meal and the first Eastsidaz album.

Those albums u listed are classics with an asterisk next to it. In light of the Jay marketing campaign and watered down post 97 era

I been in this game for years, it made me a animal
It's rules to this shyt, I wrote me a manual
A step by step booklet for you to get
your game on track, not your wig pushed back
Rule nombre uno: never let no one know
how much, dough you hold, cause you know
The cheddar breed jealousy 'specially
if that man fukked up, get your ass stuck up
Number two: never let em know your next move
Don't you know Bad Boys move in silence or violence
Take it from your highness (uh-huh)
I done squeezed mad clips at these cats for they bricks and chips
Number three: never trust no-bo-dy
Your moms'll set that ass up, properly gassed up
Hoodie to mask up, shyt, for that fast buck
she be layin in the bushes to light that ass up
Number four: know you heard this before
Never get high, on your own supply
Number five: never sell no crack where you rest at
I don't care if they want a ounce, tell em bounce
Number six: that god damn credit, dead it
You think a crackhead payin you back, shyt forget it
Seven: this rule is so underrated
Keep your family and business completely seperated
Money and blood don't mix like two dikks and no bytch
Find yourself in serious shyt
Number eight: never keep no weight on you
Them cats that squeeze your guns can hold jobs too
Number nine shoulda been number one to me
If you ain't gettin bags stay the fukk from police (uh-huh)
If nikkaz think you snitchin ain't tryin listen
They be sittin in your kitchen, waitin to start hittin
Number ten: a strong word called consignment
Strictly for live men, not for freshmen
If you ain't got the clientele say hell no
Cause they gon want they money rain sleet hail snow
Follow these rules you'll have mad bread to break up
If not, twenty-four years, on the wake up
Slug hit your temple, watch your frame shake up
Caretaker did your makeup, when you pass
Your girl fukked my man Jake up, heard in three weeks
she sniffed a whole half of cake up
Heard she suck a good dikk, and can hook a steak up
Gotta go gotta go, more pasta bake up, word up, uhh

The Last Meal was a 8 outta 10 album.

AG, In My Lifetime, and the Black albums are all 9/10 and above.

I JUST went back and listened to Life After Death a few days ago. :mjcry:

this nikka's flow is still unmatched to this day. every syllable he spit fit seamlessly into the rhythm he rapped in.

most rappers have fillers in their verses to make sure their rhyme scheme works....if they're rhyming at all...
