BLAZO da GAWD
Superstar
Top 5 album for me.
Art Barr needs to stop polluting my thread with his negativity and hatred
Listen I don't give a fukk whether you think the song was bitten, if your old dusty ass thinks this song isn't a certified classic then just gtfo of here and keep it moving. You're ass aint welcome in this church no more heathen
Wants to start talking about living near politicians when he can't find 5 bucks to throw at a site he's been posting on since '98![]()
Son...stop derailing the thread..lol..make a thread about Organized Konfusion..we understand u dont like IWW...I just got literal goosebumps on my arms and my head felt like It was shrinking from Monch on stray bullet.
IWW ain't even on the iPod.
Keep talking and sellinG wolf tickets and you gon get tabled't the fukk up in your own thread.
nikkas making threads about records with controversy.
The thread content will include said controversy.
I can not help it if, nas sold out and bit.
If the instances did not occur, I would not talk about it.
You nikkas wanna give props, but fail to realize.
When you sellout as an artist.
You have to deal with the dialogue, and contents of your act.
When your sellout artistry is brought up.
Don't get mad at me,..
Get mad at nas for biting.

Clearly you lack respect for Monch and Nas so
outta this thread, I don't have time for any one who calls themselves a man and sits down arguing over shyt that doesn't matter. Na that's some 14 year old girl shyt.
At you thinking I'm outing you and throwing you to the lions because you somehow exposed Nas as a sellout for making a conceptual masterpiece that may have been influenced by another MC. If that's the case then the whole of Hip Hop has bitten off the soul music of the 60s/70s and 80s in terms of sampling. If that was the case then your God MC KRS-1 has completely bitten off reggae and dancehall (which he has) in his flow and delivery. But your coke infested mind is too stupid to realise that Hip Hop is so great because of its ability to take influence from the world around and paint vivid pictures to the minds of fans. Can you not like both songs without discrediting the other? Or are you too stupid to grasp that concept?
Now GTFO outta this thread.First and foremost, biting is defined as: "Copying in a plagiaristic context, though mainly just unoffical fad-related things; such as made-up words, clothing styles, types of music, etc." You saying Nas, "bit" the song would mean that he PLAGIARISED the said song and didn't give his props. Find me a line that mirrors ANYTHING from the song you mentioned. I'll wait. As mentioned in this thread, Nas has spoke about the topic and given his props, even having Monch say he didn't copy and denying any sort of biting. This is forgetting the fact that you discredited Monchs opinion by calling him a sellout, all because you couldn't fall back and admit you were wrong. Aside from losing all respect I had for you for not being a man and putting your hands up and saying you were wrong when you got called out, you've continued and thrown yourself into two separate arguments all for the sake of arguing.Clearly you lack respect for Monch and Nas so

HELLLLLLL NOOOOO....
Nobody gives a flying f_ck about the OK song you talking about...I heard it once because somebody posted it, and that was it...
One of Premo's greatest beats...
If Nas had made this a double album, with 1 disc grimmey NY beats and the other disc flashy Trackmaster beats...It would have been the greatest Hip Hop album EVER...

this is bullshyt, so Nas is biting because he have a song who's have a concept similar to an another ? In my eyes I gave you power was more chocking and better executed than stray bullet, but that's not even my point. Fact is both songs are good and explore differents perspective. Know one gave a fukk Nas took the same same as Scientifik for memory lane. Hip hop is based on sampling which was once considered by elders as biting as well, if so, commercial rap shouldn't even exist if biting would have been talking that seriously. And to me there's a diffence between niting, being influenced, paying hommage and most probably in Nas case, just doing a thing similar to another cat on coincidence. Caus I don't even think Nas listened to stray bullet or tought of the song when he made I gave you power.
Nas knows his old school but is not a student of the game like that, he used to think Gza was the guy rapping on BIBLE. You reaaly thing he heard stray bullet and decided, I have to do the same thing ? The intensity, social thought and narration he put on I gave you power is somthing you just can't bite.
And let me tell you some, about the all Nas sellout bla bla bla, it was written is the reason right now Nas career is xhat it is right, if he had listen to cats like out who wanted illmatic pt2, the cat would be like oc, kool g rap or cats like canibus. Struggling to just drop an album every 5 years and with little recognizion
You can't be in the game 20 years deep and being a sellout, because your artistry get tested. That's what happenned to nas and he learned and shifted in early 2000's. Jay did sellout and continue to be a sellout, but he's an exception, with the help of beyonce and latter kanye he became the face of rap for the guy outside hip hop, so no matter what the quality of the music he drops he still will sell. But wats in hip hop start to contest his artistry, thing they didn't do too much 5 or 6 years ago.

Exactly.I believe nas when he said he didn't hear it.this is bullshyt, so Nas is biting because he have a song who's have a concept similar to an another ? The hate came from backpackers and the hip hop media.I honestly don't get the hate for IWW...I really don't. Could someone really break it down for me? I would understand if IWW was full of some shiny suit era type production and such...but with tracks like Suspect (My fav on the album), I Gave You Power, Take It In Blood, Shootouts and so on, I don't see how Nas sold out. Nas was probably at his best on IWW lyrically (Especially). He was on some other shyt,
But then again I wasn't even cognizant about Reggae/Soca music in '96 (And I live in the Caribbean), much less rap, so maybe I'm missing something?![]()
