Nice thread topic. I see truth to your statement. IMO another movement would be a mistake because like others it would become fad that will disappear in a short period of time. What needs to change is ownership and basically coming to the conclusion the way we operate isn't working. All other groups quietly make moves with long term plans while we holler justice while marching in short term spurts.

Black American men have to start building a supply chain. You can't sustain a community without it. The Asians and Hispanics have that. Black folks are too dependent on others to supply them with food and jobs. But most black people "hate" the idea of getting back on farms and doing what's needed to build a community. And if the outside groups come in and try to stop it, then we have to ask ourselves why are we trying to stay in a place that will not allow us to be what we can be?

Huey and the panthers were on the rainbow coalition wave. Which doesn't work because if you're Pro-Black you can't involve other racial groups who have their own agendas and concerns. It weakens and dilutes your efforts. Which is probably the point

So if you're pro-Black you have to be so without losing focus. Because every other group works for their own people without deviating.

Such as Jewish people, Latinos, Asians, etc...

Black people though are the only ones looking for allies and a coalition.

I think there’s still hope. Unfortunately it’s all about trends now. You have to make it cool to be smart again. Women have to show not talk, but with their actions that they go after smart, competent men with things going for them. Make thot culture, old news.

Focus on the youth and start over. 12 years and younger. That should be our focus. Arguing with 30 year old men and women is a waste of time. I think if we can focus on the boys being put in leadership positions at a early age and teaching competentence goes along ways. How can we provide competitive boys to become men who can make a living for themselves. You get a group of men who can make a good living less chance they become crash test dummies.

Older women actually have to sacrifice thirst trapping and thottin and be relevant role models and put young girls on game early. When I mean game I don’t mean “black men ain’t shyt get the bag” game but actual what mistakes to avoid and what men to go after.

We have to only deal with each other in positive or productive environments. Church, community projects, graduations, team building, sports, etc. shout out to Neely fuller.

Our image has to be taken back. People have to be proud to be black and that only comes with positive interactions with opposite genders, elders, and peers. Also image on tv, internet, and social media. Sambos must be dealt with at all cost.

I think in 15 years we could see real change but that 12 year old would be a competent 27 year old if we collectively focus on starting with the youth.

What's the difference?

BLM started as a grass roots movement for police reform. BLM Global Network was a legal entity started by a co-founder to accept donations. The Global Network blew up and received millions of dollars with little input or compensation to the grassroots movement. Different BLM grassroots chapters never saw a dime, but those involved in the Global Network were eating good off Nike sponsorships and such. The grassroots group is now suing the Global Network.

So you can have CNN running a story of BLM pushing for police reform via legislative means in a certain city, while FoxNews runs a story of the leader of BLM buying up a million dollar home with donated funds. Both stories can be true, but not related, as they are talking about two different parties.
