:manny: That stuff I listed is stuff I like to do anyway. I don't mind if a chick comes along for the ride. Bonus points if my swag brings her back to the crib.

Now, I wouldn't go on a date and pay to do some shyt I didn't wanna do, fukk that. But I like the symphony so I'd be having fun either way.
Put me on to the symphony game breh :leostare: I never been to one & it seems like an interesting date scenario. You just sit there, chit chat & watch people play strings or is there other shyt to do?

Nah no chit chat, except during the intermission. It's a presentation like a movie, only not as long and it's live music and drinks. Plus it gives biches a chance to dress up, and it's a departure from the standard dinner and a movie. Usually, I'll pick a symphony that has a composer I know something about, so I can lean in and kick a little knowledge in-between movements. Women love it. You'll probably like it too. Like I said it's not boring or pretentious like the ballet or the opera. And it's pretty inexpensive. Give it a shot.

Edit: Also makes a GREAT X-mas date because they usually do holiday themed music around Nov / Dec. Look for "Holiday Pops" or the like at your local symphony.

If I may ask, how old are you? I'm hoping it gets better as I get a little older, but it seems most the broads I run into wouldn't know Pavarotti from Ravioli, maaaayne.

35 :old:.

But your scenario is actually pretty cool, cause it gives you a chance to teach them something about something you enjoy. Chicks love learning things from men they consider to be 'cultured'. Win/win.

I feel like the sheer unexpectedness & departure from the normal first date environments would get a girl   when you suggest a symphony for the first date, especially considering how much younger we'd be than the first of the crowd (assuming it's mostly older folks that go to these). Couple more questions. How long does one normally last & what's the dress code normally?

It definitely does, breh. And actually, I usually don't tell them where we're going, just tell them to put on their best evening dress and I'll be there at _:00. They can last anywhere from 45 mins to an hour and a half or so. Dress code, here's where it gets funny. When I was a kid and we'd go to the symphony, it was suit and tie / evening gowns all around. Over the years (at least in Phx) it became more and more casual, but I never slipped I always go suited and booted. It adds to the experience and chicks love it so... :manny:.
