I swear I been having one particular type of nightmare at least 3 times within the last couple months.
One of them is just me running and I'm being chased by a dark phantom type figure in the middle of nowhere, kinda hazy type horror movie shyt. no sugar coat or anything, it's a scary being and it's after me.
The other one I had as recent as last night goes like a normal summer day, I'm on the block and again I'm running from people that are possessed by supernatural entities, and it feels like I have the same exact fear when I'm running from them and running from the phantom.
Now call it what you want but I honestly think I been hit with some Obeah (Voodoo, Juju, Bad luck...) whatever, because shyt has happened lately that's made me think "wtf? is this bad luck or just Karma biting me in the ass?"
Now normally I'm not superstitious at all, but I'm at the point where I'm about to try anything to see if I can get a little peace.
Anyone that has an old school West Indian/Caribbean influence knows where I'm coming from when I say our ancestors had a shyt load of rituals and superstitions stemming from way back in the old countries. I remember my mother used to get bristles from a coconut broom and "Jharay" the kids in the family whenever we got sick, to rid of us of the evil eye and stuff like that.
I'm about to hit up a West Indian store and cop a superstition pack and smoke my house in and out.
Anyone else ever have this feeling? I know I can't be the only one shyt.
