Cleansing Energy and Protection from Psychic Attack

I promised to make a post with some tips on how to cleanse energy and protect from psychic attack. Here are some things I have learned over the years. You may think that some of this advice borders on witchcraft, but it's really not any worse than praying to god. If you are uncomfortable with these methods, because of being taught that "magic" is wrong, then just pray to God and Jesus and if that isn't enough, then keep an open mind that God often helps those who help themselves. Prayer can be really powerful, but God gave us a lot of gifts to help out with our lives on Earth. Remember in the Bible, Jesus said, "All these things I do, you can do and more."
I would also like to politely suggest that some religious figures who would scare you into thinking anything outside of church is witchcraft, may have their own interests in mind, by creating a dependency on their services. I'm not suggesting that each priest would mislead you on a purposefully, but that it is in a churches best interests to discourage do-it-yourself spirituality.
I make a homemade version of an oil mixture called Van Van, which is an energy cleansing oil that I mix into my cleaning sprays, and mop bucket water. Think about how often we clean our homes of physical germs. How often do we cleanse the energy? Often times in life, we struggle with issues and go through hard times. If you aren't cleaning the energy in your home, all of that cumulative energy is just building up and getting yucky. I have found Van Van to be very effective, but there are other cheaper ways to cleanse the energy.

8 parts lemongrass oil
4 parts citronella
1 part palmarosa
I buy my oils from MountainRoseHerbs.co m, because it seems like the most inexpensive place that has all of those oils. You can buy glass dropper bottles from them as well, to store it in. This oil is extremely potent, so don't get it on your skin in this undiluted form, or clean with it without cutting it with other oils or like I do, putting ten drops in a bottle of spray cleaner. These oils are very acidic, so they are great for cleaning, because they naturally cut through grease. If you get the undiluted oil on your hands, wash your hands with soap and water, and then put on some hand lotion. Don't store it uncut in a plastic bottle, as it could eat through the bottle, over time. Just use a glass bottle with a dropper, that way it is easy to control, and be sure to keep the bottle upright, as over time it can eat away at the rubber of the dropper, which can be a mess.
You can also mix it with almond oil to dilute it, (also sold at Mountain Rose Herbs) and use it as a personal fragrance, or put it into a roller bottle in this diluted form and use it to dispel negative energy on the go. I like to keep some in my purse and use it in my car during rush hour.
Opening up your windows and letting your home air out, also helps to clean the energy.
One way of cleaning up negative energy out of your home, which is free if you live in an area where ferns grow, is to sprinkle fern leaves over your floor and sweep them out of the door, starting from the far end of the room/house and working your way towards the door. This is the most basic part of a "hoodoo" spell, but if that bothers you, pray to Jesus when you do it. I love to utilize hoodoo ideas for this sort of thing, because most of the materials and tools are free things you can find in your yard, or are ordinary household items.
Get a new broom from time to time, to ensure that it isn't building up with yucky energy.
If you have a lot of negativity in your life, or someone incredibly negative you need energetic protection from, like a psychic vampire, plant a Rue plant in your yard. Most sources say that it's best to plant it in the back yard, but if you really need serious protection, I say front yard. It is a harsh energy protection. If the plant dies, it has sacrificed itself for your protection. Be aware that you should only handle Rue with gloves on, as some people (including me) are sensitive to the plant's oils, and will develop blisters where it has touched their skin and skin has been exposed to sunlight. But if your skin comes into contact with it by accident, just immediately wash your skin with soap and water.
The "Evil Eye" is an important concept to be familiar with, when combating negativity. This type of negative energy is connected to jealousy and may be subconscious on behalf of the perpetrator. One way that is good to combat it, is to make a hand gesture by putting your thumb between your pointer finger, and second finger. If you do this while making a fist, it is not very noticeable, and is very effective.
In regards to protecting your home, it is never a good idea to invite anyone in that you are not absolutely sure you can trust. I would never use a mat outside of my door that says the word "Welcome," and to the extreme I would not even use one with a pineapple on it, as the pineapple is a symbol of welcome. And when answering the door, I never say, "Yes?" which by twisted logic could be considered consent, I ask "Who is it?" instead.
If someone is bothering you and you can't get them to leave you alone, or be civil, mix up this recipe called "Four Thieves Vinegar" and then when it is ready, put it into some food that you will serve to this person. This is totally safe to consume, and will not have any negative effects for anyone who eats it. Plus, it is delicious. I regularly make salad dressing with it. There are a lot of other recipes for this vinegar, some of which are not food safe. Traditionally if can be used to ward off illness and a lot of other energetic uses, but I prefer to use my version and consume it.
Four Thieves Vinegar
1 clean jar
4 cloves garlic, peeled
1 scant handful of black peppercorns
1 scant handful of black mustard seeds
1 sprig or branch of rosemary
1 sprig or branch of oregano (I like the Greek kind best)
apple cider vinegar to fill the jar
Put all of the ingredients into the jar, and then fill the jar with the vinegar. I usually let it sit for at least a month before using, for maximum flavor.
Lavender is a plant with a cleansing reputation. Spray lavender water, or make your own spray using vodka and lavender oil, to do energy work.
There are a lot of great ideas and tips on the Lucky Mojo website, many of them require no special equipment.
A lot of stones help to protect from negative energy. Most stones that are attributed with this ability, are black in color. My favorite is obsidian. Make sure that you cleanse your stones from time to time, by running them under moving water (like a faucet) or leave it in direct sunlight for a while. You can carry the stone with you, put it in your car, or leave it on a window sill.
I strongly suggest that if you have a good relationship with any religion, to utilize it by praying to your god, and using your religious symbols in whatever you do. You can incorporate them into the things I have mentioned above, such as drawing a cross on your broom or spray cleaner bottle.
Fuu dogs, the figures often seen outside of Asian buildings facing away from a door, have extremely strong protective properties. Their "gaze" can be quite intense, even as little miniature figures, so it is inadvisable to use them to decorate inside your home, unless they are next to a window, facing out, or near the door, facing out. I could only guess as to why this is so. I bought a pair for decoration once, and didn't know the proper placement, and for the entire day that they were facing the inside of my home, I felt like someone was watching a scrutinizing me. It was extremely intense and uncomfortable. I faced them out, and now they are great.
