Ok. When I say a year, its because you will learn more than you think but not all at once, and for the purpose of getting higher positions, you u don't want to look like a job hopper before even establishing yourself in IT.

A year gives you a chance to reasonably stuff a resume full of shyt so you dont end up leaving for a higher paying help desk job.
